Nathan, a student at St. Charles Preparatory School, and Grace were set up by friends in February 2019 to attend the Winter Formal at Columbus School for Girls. The two of them and their friend group began the evening with a dinner at Lindey's in German village, in one of the private party rooms. It was a wonderful night, and Grace knew that Nathan was the person she wanted to be with. She asked Nathan to be her boyfriend later that night, and the rest was history!
After high school, Nathan attended Xavier University in Cincinnati for his undergraduate college education, and the following year, Grace set out on her undergraduate journey at The Ohio State University. For the next 3 years, long distance was made a little easier through weekend trips back and forth to Columbus and Cincinnati, summer trips to Disney and California, and countless FaceTime calls. Throughout their journey, Nathan and Grace continued to grow together as a couple, while also remaining committed to their academic journeys and professional aspirations.
Following graduation, Nathan and Grace both moved home, and spent a year working to enhance their clinical experience. During that time, Nathan planned a birthday dinner at Lindey's on January 12th, 2024 to celebrate Grace's birthday with her friends. When they walked into the room, Grace realized that Nathan booked the same room in which they enjoyed their first dinner together, six years earlier! Nathan proposed to Grace that night surrounded by her closest friends. Nathan had another surprise lined up, as he had both families downstairs waiting to come up and toast with the newly engaged couple! It truly was the best surprise and a wonderful night filled with love and celebration to kick off the engagement.
Nathan is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Anesthesia, while Grace is pursuing a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Wedding-planning has been a great way to escape the stress of school and a fun journey they have enjoyed together.
Nathan and Grace have been together for seven years and that time has flown by! They are so excited to celebrate their big day with friends and family, and are looking forward to beginning life as a married couple!
